Red Pumps Around The World (Since 1982)

Slideshow

In 1982 I was determined to be a photographer and I greatly admired professionals like Guy Bourdin, Jay Maisel and Erns Haas. The first used to take some great photos for the shoe manufacturer Charles Jourdan and, considering that Spain was a world power in footwear manufacturing, I prepared a small portfolio taking advantage of the magnificent legs of a girl I had met one year before and who is still my wife.

Then, in 1998, we traveled around the World on assignment for VIAJAR magazine. To pay for her expenses we dusted off the red pumps and took new photographs published in JANO magazine under the title "Crazy Round the World Trip". When we think about it we included the shoes in the luggage. It is a small divertimento that often provokes funny reactions in the spectators when they see us in action.
